Gyeonggi Fire Department 'Audit Division' Shines in Integrity... Ranked 1st in Department Integrity Awards

Gyeonggi Fire Department 'Audit Division' Shines in Integrity... Ranked 1st in Department Integrity Awards The Fire Audit Division of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters ranked first in the department category of the Gyeonggi-do Integrity Awards.

The Fire Audit Division of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters won first place in the department category of the 'Gyeonggi-do Integrity Award.'

The Gyeonggi-do Integrity Award is fairly selected through public opinion collection from residents and a judging committee, recognizing institutions, organizations, departments, and public officials who have developed integrity policies or contributed to corruption prevention.

The Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 19th that at the awards ceremony held on the 13th, the Fire Audit Division's integrity policy received active support from Gyeonggi residents through voting on GyeonggiNet, securing first place in the '2024 Gyeonggi-do Integrity Award Department Category.'

Last year, the Fire Audit Division ranked first among nine administrative sectors in Gyeonggi-do in the external integrity evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission. Additionally, it achieved an 'S' grade for two consecutive years in the 2022-2023 integrity activity participation index evaluation.

In particular, it has been recognized for creating a new paradigm in integrity education through 'visiting' style integrity culture performances. Last year, it also provided opportunities for integrity, communication, and harmony in Gyeonggi firefighting by delivering integrity messages from Governor Kim Dong-yeon and involving Gyeonggi Volunteer Firefighters on-site.

Jo Seon-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The era of audit departments asserting their presence through disciplinary actions and sanctions is over. We will foster a fairer and more integrity-driven organizational culture through friendly and proactive integrity policies and anti-corruption prevention education." He added, "We will once again prove to the residents that Gyeonggi Fire leads the overall integrity of Gyeonggi-do in the ongoing 2024 comprehensive integrity evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission."
