◆EnjoyGO= Crystal Valley had its grand opening in September 2004. It is a nature-friendly golf course that preserves the beautiful mountain terrain and valley landscape as they are. You can enjoy the beauty of all four seasons. It is rare in Korea to adjust the difficulty level for each hole. The fairways, which vary in shape, the well-placed water hazards and bunkers, and the teeing grounds that realize naturalistic aesthetics all enhance the fun and sophistication of play.

The total project site is 1,319,814㎡ (about 399,243 pyeong) with a par 72 (7,130 yards), and it is regarded as “the golf course where humans dare to challenge the gods most closely.” It is a place where wilderness, culture, and art breathe together. The clear and transparent river flowing alongside the golf course is impressive. It is so transparent that it sparkles like crystal. The course is challenging. Not a single hole resembles another. It boasts an original design. Crystal Valley has no blind holes. It simultaneously demands masculine power and feminine delicacy. This is why it doubles the charm of strategy.

Crystal Valley has 18 holes. The Crystal Course is soft and flat, full of femininity. It is a beautiful and elegant course. Even first-time golfers can feel nature and play more easily and comfortably. You can enjoy the grandeur of nature’s fragrance. The Valley Course has many hidden holes within dense natural forests. It is an island course. Located at the mountain’s summit, it blends natural forests and bizarre rock formations. It induces tense play as you cannot predict the next shot. The refreshing artificial waterfall gifts a cool freshness along with nature.

There are four signature holes. The 4th hole of the Crystal Course is best avoided by golfers with weak hearts or lacking a spirit of challenge. It is called the “Invitation to Hell Hole.” The 5th hole of the Crystal Course features a unique design that actively utilizes the natural forest. When you step onto the tee box, it gives the illusion of being in a primeval landscape. The 2nd hole of the Valley Course is impressive with the sound of a natural waterfall among the primeval forest and a three-tiered waterfall flowing to the right of the green. The 4th hole of the Valley Course is a dogleg hole bent about 40 degrees. It harmonizes 160 sleek Korean red pine trees from Gangwon-do and apricot trees.

◆EatGO= Crystal Valley is impressive not only for its course but also for its ancillary facilities. The 365-day medical care management system based on detail stands out. The clubhouse was designed without cutting mountains or removing rocks. It preserves the natural terrain as it is. It is grand like a European mansion. The interior is antique yet modern. Through the floor-to-ceiling glass walls facing the green, you can see the wide and refreshing green. It is suitable as a resting and social space.

The restaurant faces the green. It is located in a place with a wide-open view through large floor-to-ceiling windows. You can overlook the wide and grand three-tiered waterfall of the Valley 9th hole and the mysterious nature blended with light. Also, using fresh organic ingredients with top-notch hotel-level service, it considers not only taste but also health. You can enjoy a well-being menu filled with the chef’s meticulous care. It can accommodate group events ranging from 4 to about 130 people.

In the morning, you can taste Chodang soft tofu, beef seaweed soup, and Korean beef cabbage hangover soup. American-style breakfast is also available. For lunch and dinner, dishes such as Gapyeong pine nut cold noodles, ribs, abalone and octopus rib soup, mountain and sea delicacy mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), bulgogi young radish bibimbap, eel rice bowl, and Chogye noodles are served. With prior reservation, you can enjoy dishes like Neungi mushroom Korean beef hot pot, native chicken dragon king hot pot, and abalone native chicken stew. Course meals featuring seafood salad, tenderloin steak, fish-flavored eggplant, spicy flounder stew, and seasonal fruits are also available.

◆SeeGO= Near Crystal Valley is the Garden of Morning Calm. It opened in May 1996. It is a garden full of Korean beauty set against the splendid natural scenery of Chukryeongsan Mountain. It has various themed gardens. You can also enjoy forest bathing under the dense pine forest. It offers a resting place for visitors whose mind and body are tired. The garden contains 20 themes. It connects beautifully maintained lawns and flower beds to natural walking paths.

The Ha-gyeong Garden is popular. It is a beautiful representation of Korea’s scenic landscape created in the shape of the Korean Peninsula. You can see over 5,000 species of plants, including about 300 species from Baekdu Mountain.
