On the 19th, SK Enmove announced that it has been recognized for its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management capabilities by receiving the 'Gold Rating,' which corresponds to the top 5%, from the global ESG supply chain evaluation organization EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is the world's largest and most reputable global sustainability assessment organization. It evaluates over 130,000 companies across more than 180 countries based on four criteria: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement, awarding Platinum (top 1%), Gold (5%), Silver (15%), and Bronze (35%) ratings. In particular, it focuses on supply chain management and sustainability performance, and manufacturing companies pay close attention to EcoVadis ratings to enhance credibility and secure supply chain sustainability.
SK Enmove received the highest scores in the Labor and Human Rights and Ethics categories. It earned a well-rounded excellent evaluation across all categories, achieving the Gold rating in its first assessment, placing it in the top 5%. In line with the recent trend of increasing customer demands for global ESG evaluation ratings, it is expected to strengthen its business capabilities by proactively responding to the tightening of global ESG regulations.
To reinforce ESG management, SK Enmove has established an ESG roadmap from a mid- to long-term perspective and transparently discloses its sustainable management activities and achievements to stakeholders through the publication of ESG reports.
In the Labor and Human Rights category, SK Enmove has published a Human Rights Management Report annually and implements a 'Human Rights Due Diligence Process' that identifies, prevents, and mitigates negative impacts of corporate activities on human rights while exercising due diligence. Additionally, SK Enmove was recognized for fostering a family-friendly culture through various programs such as reduced working hours during pregnancy and childcare periods and family counseling services in 2022, earning certification as a Family-Friendly Company from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (valid for three years).
In the Ethics category, SK Enmove holds 'Ethical Management Practice Workshops' to cultivate a desirable ethical culture and enhance the ethical values that members must uphold. Since last year, it has expanded ethics education to include members of overseas subsidiaries and branches.
An SK Enmove official stated, "By obtaining the EcoVadis Gold rating, we expect to proactively respond to the demands of global stakeholders and secure competitiveness in the global market." He added, "We will continue to pursue sustainable growth and provide greater value to our customers and society."
