'AI Jeong-on' Function Equipped
'Odor Care Kimchi Container' Applied... New Gas Valve? Filter Installed
'ScanKeep' Applied to Set Optimal Storage Mode for Purchased Kimchi
Samsung Electronics announced on the 19th that it will strengthen its customized storage features and launch a new product, the 'Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus,' which alleviates concerns about kimchi odors inside the refrigerator.
The 2024 model Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus newly applies the 'AI Constant Temperature' function, where artificial intelligence (AI) analyzes usage patterns and performs defrosting when the refrigerator is not frequently used, minimizing the temperature rise inside the refrigerator. The 'AI Constant Temperature' function and ultra-fine constant temperature technology, which maintains internal temperature variations within ±0.3 degrees, enhance the refrigerator's inherent temperature maintenance capabilities.
Additionally, Samsung Electronics has equipped the refrigerator with its representative technologies, 'Metal Cooling' and 'Customized Aging Room,' and introduced a new 'Odor Care Kimchi Container' that reduces the spread of kimchi odors, a major concern for users. The Odor Care Kimchi Container minimizes the escape of kimchi odors by releasing carbon dioxide generated during kimchi fermentation to the outside of the container through a gas valve and gas absorption filter.

Samsung Electronics first introduced the 'Customized Aging Room' last year, a customized storage space that allows delicate aging of ingredients divided into portions according to individual tastes. Located on the right side of the upper compartment of the refrigerator, the Customized Aging Room features a separate temperature control system and offers a total of five modes: ▲Kimchi Medium Aging ▲Kimchi Full Aging ▲Meat Thawing ▲Fruit Aging ▲Bread Dough Fermentation.
Samsung Electronics also newly installed the 'Scan Keep' function using its exclusive 'SmartThings' app. Scan Keep allows consumers to scan the barcode on the purchased kimchi packaging with SmartThings, setting the most suitable storage mode for the kimchi brand and type.
Not only for kimchi but also for fruits, grains, meats, and a total of 500 food items, the 'Customized Ingredient Storage' function can be conveniently used through SmartThings with up to 24 customized storage modes. Using the modes recommended by SmartThings for items usually stored at room temperature, such as rice, or fruits stored in standard kimchi mode, allows for fresher and tastier storage.
Other convenience features have also been added, including the 'Auto Open Door,' which automatically opens the upper compartment door with a light touch, and 'Gentle Lighting,' which allows users to select various brightness levels inside the refrigerator according to their lifestyle patterns via SmartThings.
The 2024 model Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus offers two additional colors, Essential White and Essential Beige, making a total of nine panel options. Depending on the features and door panel specifications, it is available in freestanding types (490ℓ, 583ℓ) and Kitchen Fit type (420ℓ), with prices ranging from 2.52 million KRW to 4.16 million KRW and 2.33 million KRW to 3.8 million KRW, respectively.
