Kim Min-seok: "Yoon Seok-yeol Regime in Irreversible Decline... Lee Jae-myung Holds Stable Advantage"

'Kim Geon-hee Lady Risk' and 'Yoon-Han Conflict' Mentioned
Kim: "The Psychological Regime Change Has Entered Its Initial Phase"
Regarding the Joguk Innovation Party: "Don't Let Small Gains Lead to Big Losses"

Kim Min-seok, a Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, claimed that the public has now entered a psychological phase of wanting to replace the Yoon Seok-yeol administration. He emphasized that Yoon Seok-yeol President’s wife, Kim Geon-hee, taking the forefront in political activities would "throw gunpowder into the mood for regime change."

At a 'Chuseok Public Sentiment Press Briefing' held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 18th, Council Member Kim analyzed the public sentiment he heard during the holiday. He said, "When combining the felt public sentiment and opinion polls, the current public anger has reached a critical point, marking the 'initial phase of psychological regime change.'" He added, "There was a chorus of complaints that the deviations of President Yoon Seok-yeol and Mrs. Kim Geon-hee cannot be overlooked," and "The comprehensive trends of the three major political public opinion indicators?party support, government approval, and next presidential candidate support?showed the same flow."

He pointed to the 'Mrs. Kim risk' as the core background of the regime crisis. He stated, "Mrs. Kim’s center instinct and leader’s aura confirm that Mrs. Kim’s dominance is the essence of 'joint spousal power.'" Furthermore, he said, "The influence on state affairs is all-encompassing, including the emperor investigation, mother’s parole, medical school expansion, and allegations of interference in personnel appointments and nominations," adding, "This will not be a broad political move but a dark history of political madness."

He also predicted that President Yoon and Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, would face a 'joint downfall' amid their conflict. Council Member Kim said, "Due to the irreconcilable Yoon-Han conflict, the regime collapse sentiment originating from the ruling party is spreading, resulting in a joint downfall of Yoon and Han," and "Han’s differentiation will continue." He even forecasted, "President Yoon will become so isolated that it will be difficult to trust any next presidential candidate." This analysis suggests that Han will further distance himself from President Yoon to run as a next presidential candidate.

Regarding the Democratic Party, he analyzed it as the most stable state in history. Council Member Kim said, "Government approval ratings are stuck in an irreversible state at the positive 20% range, and the next presidential candidate support for Lee Jae-myung (Democratic Party leader) is solidified in the 40% range, maintaining a stable lead over any People Power Party candidate." He added, "The Democratic Party’s party support has solidified with a 5-10% lead," and "This trend will be reinforced by the Democratic Party’s rise and the People Power Party’s decline." Council Member Kim concluded by emphasizing, "It is time for all democratic forces and individuals, including the Democratic Party, to unite without losing sight of the bigger picture for small gains." This is interpreted as a remark targeting parties like the Jo Guk Innovation Party, which are competing ahead of the upcoming October by-elections. It implies that democratic camp parties should unite for regime judgment rather than gathering votes separately.
