Promotional Activities for Homecoming Travelers at Busan Seobu Bus Terminal on the 13th by the Federation

Basic 2 Benefits and 2 Additional Perks for Donors of 100,000 KRW or More Until September 30

On the 13th, Busan Metropolitan City conducted a promotional campaign for the Hometown Love Donation Program at the Busan West Bus Terminal, together with Sasang-gu Saemaeul Association and the Busan City Saemaeul Club Federation (university students).

This campaign was organized to inform returning holiday travelers and citizens about the Hometown Love Donation Program during the Chuseok holiday and to provide them with an opportunity to participate in donations.


During the event, “Heart Seaweed,” made with Busan’s specialty seaweed, and “drip bag coffee,” an event promotional item, were distributed to travelers and citizens.


Additionally, on the 12th, the city promoted the Hometown Love Donation Program and conducted a breakfast campaign for visitors at the City Hall direct market, in collaboration with the Busan branch of Nonghyup and the Busan City Federation of Farm Women’s Associations.

“Heart Seaweed” and “Garak Rice,” one of the city’s Hometown Love Donation return gifts, were distributed to visitors to highlight the meaning and benefits of the program, while also promoting the advantages of eating breakfast and encouraging the purchase and use of local rice.


The City Hall direct market is held every Thursday in the corridor between City Hall and the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency.


During the event period, until September 30, donors who contribute 100,000 KRW will receive two basic benefits and two additional benefits. Those who donate more than 100,000 KRW will receive both the event benefits and a 16.5% tax deduction on the excess amount.


The two basic benefits are: ① Full year-end tax deduction for donations up to 100,000 KRW, ② Return gifts equivalent to 30% of the donation amount. The two additional benefits are: ① All participants receive 10,000 KRW worth of Busan local currency Dongbaekjeon (or a mobile coffee coupon), ② The 10th, 20th, and every 10th donor up to the 500th will receive an additional return gift worth 30,000 KRW. However, the 10th, 20th, and every 10th donor up to the 500th are excluded from the additional 10,000 KRW Dongbaekjeon (or mobile coffee coupon) benefit.


The 30,000 KRW return gifts include 27 types such as a premium fish cake gift set from 23 local suppliers, Busan local currency Dongbaekjeon, Busan City Tour tickets, mackerel, Baekmyeongran gift sets, premium Gijang seaweed sets, coffee drip bag gift sets, traditional liquor gift sets, and more, from which donors can choose.


Those wishing to express their love for their hometown Busan can donate 100,000 KRW or more via the Hometown Love eum website or by visiting NH Nonghyup Bank. For further inquiries, please contact the city’s Autonomy Administration Division for detailed information.


The Hometown Love Donation Program allows individuals to donate to a local government other than where their resident registration address is, and receive a certain percentage of tax deduction and return gifts worth up to 30% of the donation amount from the local government.


Each person can donate up to 5 million KRW per year, and the donations are used for projects to improve residents’ welfare, such as supporting vulnerable groups, fostering and protecting youth, and revitalizing local communities.
