Cultural Performance Troupes to Be Dispatched from 16th to 20th
Ulsan City will participate in the Korea-Japan Chuseok Festival, which will be held in Niigata, Japan on the 18th.
To take part in this festival, Ulsan City dispatched a delegation of eight people, including its representative cultural performance group Kaik Crew and city officials, from the 16th to the 20th, according to an announcement on the 17th.
The Korea-Japan Chuseok Festival has been held since 2016 and is co-hosted by Niigata City, Ulsan's sister city, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Niigata.
Main programs include Korean traditional dance, taekwondo demonstrations, K-pop performances, and experiences with traditional Korean clothing.
Kaik Crew will participate in the festival on the 18th, presenting a solo performance and collaborating in the finale with a Niigata City dance team.
Before the performance, the delegation will meet with the Deputy Mayor of Niigata on the 17th to discuss ways to promote exchange and cooperation between the two cities.
An Ulsan City official said, "Since signing the sister city agreement with Niigata City in 2006, we have actively exchanged in various fields such as culture and arts, environment, and youth exchanges, and have consistently dispatched performance groups to each other's festivals."
