Introduction to New Pet Dog Solution Content
Focusing on Main Work on YouTube After 'Gapjil Controversy'
Dog trainer Kang Hyung-wook, who had suspended activities due to allegations of workplace 'gapjil' (abuse of power), has announced a new start.
On the 14th, Kang Hyung-wook posted a video titled "Starting Anew" on his YouTube channel "Kang Hyung-wook's Bodeum TV." In the video, Kang announced the launch of a new pet content series called "Kang Hyung-wook's It's Okay."
Kang said, "We are recruiting dogs in need of solutions on Bodeum TV," adding, "If you have conflicts with neighbors due to your dog, if your daily life is impossible because of your dog's aggression, or if you have tried every method but still have unresolved issues, please send us your concerns, and I will personally resolve them." He also noted, "By applying and submitting your story, you are deemed to have agreed to filming and appearing on the show," and added, "The solutions will be provided 100% free of charge."

Previously, two former employees of Bodeum Company, operated by Kang Hyung-wook, filed a complaint against Kang and his wife, alleging workplace gapjil such as unauthorized access to employees' internal messenger conversations. Kang admitted to reading employees' internal messages in a YouTube video last June but denied most allegations, including monitoring employees through closed-circuit television (CCTV). Due to the gapjil allegations, Kang also withdrew from the KBS 2TV variety show "Dogs Are Incredible," where he was a regular cast member.
On June 26, Kang posted on his Instagram, "I will sincerely cooperate with the investigation to reveal the truth," but also stated he would take legal action against false information and defamatory posts. He further said, "I will give up my life as a company CEO and focus on my original profession as a trainer," and hinted at suspending broadcasting activities by adding, "I gain great strength from the comments and emails of many people waiting for my training videos. For those people, I want to repay them by showing a more trainer-like appearance in the future." Bodeum Company also ended its dog training services as of June 30.
About a month and a half after posting on Instagram, Kang Hyung-wook began his comeback by uploading videos on his YouTube channel featuring training sessions with a mixed-breed dog and an introduction to the West Highland White Terrier breed.
