Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) held the '2024 Parent Career Education Academy' on the 12th at the Majung Hall of Mapo Central Library for about 300 parents with upper-grade elementary and middle school children in the area.
This special lecture was organized to understand the 2028 college entrance system, which is expected to undergo significant changes, and to establish learning strategies.
Mr. Kim Chang-mook, former head of the admissions department at Kyungshin High School, who gave the lecture, explained the changes in the college entrance system and introduced preparation methods for high school life to succeed in college admissions, as well as efficient learning methods for elementary and middle school students.
The parents who participated in the lecture took notes and asked questions to resolve their concerns about college admissions.
Before the lecture, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, said, "The warm interest and efforts of parents will be the first step to brightening our children's future," adding, "Mapo-gu will work harder to support college entrance and career guidance so that students can focus on their studies and parents are not left out of necessary information."
