The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Go Seon-jae) practiced warm sharing by delivering a total of 200 bags of Naju Eutteum Rice (10kg each) to social welfare facilities in the area ahead of Chuseok.

From the 10th to the 11th, the council members were divided into four groups and directly visited nine locations: ▲Sinmangae House ▲Daniel Welfare Center ▲Umyun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center ▲District-Run Umyun-dong Community Child Center ▲Private Umyun Community Child Center ▲Banpo Comprehensive Social Welfare Center ▲Seocho Community Child Center ▲District-Run Bangbae-dong Community Child Center ▲Saebit Baul House, delivering relief supplies.

The delivered rice is expected to be used for free meals at the facilities and lunch boxes for the elderly.

Additionally, the council members took time to communicate with facility officials, listening to voices from the field and exploring support measures.

Moreover, the Naju Eutteum Rice delivered this time was procured at an affordable price through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between Seocho District and Naju City in 2022, adding more significance.

Chairperson Go Seon-jae said, “I hope this warm holiday will be a time to look after marginalized neighbors and share hearts,” and added, “The council will continue to do its best to make the local community even warmer.”
