A story has been shared about a woman who was able to prepare for marriage after winning the lottery she purchased while on a date with her boyfriend.

The winner, Ms. A, revealed that she bought the 226th installment of the Pension Lottery 720+ at a lottery store in Ingye-dong, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and won both first and second prizes simultaneously. Ms. A wrote, “When we have cash during dates, we usually buy lottery tickets together,” adding, “If we win first prize, we split the Lotto winnings evenly, but for the Pension Lottery, the person who paid gets all the winnings.”

She continued, “A few days ago, we didn’t have cash, but since it was our anniversary, I withdrew cash to buy a lottery ticket,” and explained, “There was a lottery store right in front of me, but I didn’t feel right about it, so I bought the ticket at a store farther away.”

Ms. A said, “I purchased 10,000 won worth of Pension Lottery tickets and kept the tickets since I paid,” and added, “Before going to bed, while lying in bed and video calling my boyfriend, he suggested checking if we had won.”

Having no expectations of winning, Ms. A lazily searched the winning numbers but was surprised by a familiar number.

She said, “It was a number I had seen every time I ate. The first prize pays 7 million won monthly for 20 years, and the second prize pays 1 million won monthly for 10 years in an annuity format. The total lottery winnings Ms. A will receive over 20 years amount to 2.16 billion won.
