Job Creation for Vulnerable Groups and Carbon Neutrality Practices

Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power is attending the opening ceremony of the reusable container manufacturing plant located in Seomyeon, Gyeongju, and taking a group photo.
Approximately 100 people attended the ceremony, including Kim Hanseong, Head of Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters, and Song Hojun, Deputy Mayor of Gyeongju.
Wolseong Headquarters took the lead in creating local public jobs and realizing social value by supporting 350 million KRW for the construction and equipment purchase of the reusable container manufacturing facility in 2024, as part of the “Reusable Container Manufacturing Project for Carbon Neutrality Practice” under the local business support program.
Kim Hanseong, Head of Wolseong Headquarters, stated, “Wolseong Headquarters will join the Gyeongju Regional Self-Sufficiency Center’s reusable container manufacturing project, which takes the lead in job creation for vulnerable groups and the practice of carbon neutrality in the Gyeongju area.”
Since 2020, Wolseong Headquarters has contributed to the creation of around 70 local jobs by providing a total of 850 million KRW in business support funds to the Gyeongju Regional Self-Sufficiency Center for projects such as meal support, playground sand sterilization equipment, woodworking shop support, reusable container washing and education, and this year’s reusable container manufacturing project.
