Dong-A University College of Business and University Job Plus Center Hold 'Job Fair with University, Central Government, and Local Government'

Jointly Hosted by Ministry of Personnel Management and Ministry of Employment and Labor at Bumin Campus on the 11th

Over 1,500 Job Seekers Participate, 50 Companies Promote and Offer Consulting

The College of Business Administration at Dong-A University (Dean Choi Kyuhwan) and the University Job Plus Center (Director Shin Yongtaek) successfully held the "Job Fair Co-hosted by University and Local Government" on the 11th in collaboration with the Ministry of Personnel Management and others.

This job fair was organized by Dong-A University, the Ministry of Personnel Management, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Dong-A University Alumni Association (President Shin Jungtaek, CEO of Sewoon Steel), and the Dong-A University Student Council (President Kim Hogeun), with support from the Korea TOEIC Committee. Over 1,500 job seekers participated in the event.


Previously, on the 10th, the University Job Plus Center at Dong-A University and others hosted a "Job Fair Co-hosted by University and Local Government" at the Seunghak Campus, where more than 50 companies and over 2,000 job seekers participated, making it a great success.


The event, held at the International Hall of Dong-A University's Bumin Campus, featured participation from public enterprises such as Korea Securities Depository, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Transportation Corporation, Busan Port Authority, Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Korea Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation; financial institutions such as IBK Industrial Bank, Busan Bank, and Hana Bank; major corporations such as Hyundai Department Store, BGF Logis, CJ Freshway, GS Retail, and Paradise Hotel; and leading local companies from Busan such as Air Busan and Eunsan Shipping & Air.


In particular, three companies?Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation, BGF Logis, and IBK Industrial Bank?held recruitment briefings from 1 PM to 5 PM at Daw Hall in the International Hall, providing the latest information on rapidly changing recruitment trends and job roles, raising job seekers' expectations for the second half of 2024 recruitment.


The event featured various sections, including a company promotion and recruitment area, English and Korean resume and cover letter consulting, a subsidiary event area, and an event zone. The event zone offered programs such as cover letter workshops, personal color analysis, interview makeup, and free TOEIC test vouchers, attracting significant interest.


Dean Choi said, "This job fair was held earlier than usual, in early September, taking into account the public and corporate recruitment periods. I hope that the participation of many students will be of real help to their employment."


Lee Jeongjin (senior, Business Administration), president of the College of Business Administration Student Council, who participated in the event, said, "It was great that such a large-scale job fair was held on the Dong-A University campus, making it easily accessible for students. I hope this fair leads to many students successfully finding employment."
