Academic Exchange Began in 2013
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced on the 13th that it discussed ways to promote international exchange with the vice president delegation of its Chinese sister school, Xianyang Normal University.
A group of six from Xianyang Normal University, including Vice President Mao Longchan, recently visited Dong-A University and had a cordial meeting with President Lee. The meeting was attended by President Lee, Vice President Kang Daeseong, Director of International Affairs Park Hyuntae, and other officials from the International Exchange Department.
President Lee Haewoo said, "Dong-A University and Xianyang Normal University have maintained a close relationship through continuous exchanges for more than 10 years, especially excelling in student exchange programs. Building on our existing cooperation, I hope to strengthen interdepartmental exchange programs and degree linkage programs, leading to tangible results for both universities."
Vice President Mao Longchan stated, "We visited to strengthen and develop academic and student exchanges between the two universities, which have decreased since COVID-19. Through this visit, I hope we can reaffirm our close cooperative relationship in various fields, such as the exchange student program, and lay the foundation for further cooperation and exchange."
Located in Shaanxi Province, China, Xianyang Normal University is a public university focused on teacher education, with 17 colleges and more than 18,000 enrolled students.
Dong-A University and Xianyang Normal University have continued their exchange for over 10 years, starting with an academic exchange agreement in 2013. Human resource exchanges are also active, with Dong-A University graduate school alumni currently serving as faculty members at Xianyang Normal University.
