This evaluation judged eligibility by assessing indicators such as facility infrastructure, uniqueness, accessibility, management capability, and marketing, and selected excellent facilities as Yeosu Unique Venues through on-site evaluations by a panel of experts.
The Sky Tower, selected as a Unique Venue, is a newly created space through eco-friendly recycling of a silo that previously stored cement. It was highly rated for features such as a 20-story-high observatory facility that offers a panoramic view of the Yeosu Expo Site, and spaces suitable for forums, small-scale performances, and receptions.
President Park Seong-hyun stated, “Through the selection of the Sky Tower as a Unique Venue, the Yeosu Expo Site has been able to enhance its status as a representative tourist destination of the region,” adding, “We will continue to attract various domestic and international meetings and events to promote the Yeosu Expo Site and revitalize the local economy.”
