Leading Efforts to Promote Employment and Settlement of International Students in Local Areas
Kyungnam College of Information & Technology signed a business agreement with STS Robotech on the 13th to promote employment for international students who settle in the local area.
The signing ceremony, held at STS Robotech located in Sasang-gu, Busan, was attended by Kyungnam College of Information & Technology President Kim Taesang, STS Robotech CEO Kim Gihwan, and other key officials from both organizations.
Through this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate to strengthen the employment capabilities of international students through customized education and employment linkage programs, aiming to nurture international students who will settle in the region.
STS Robotech is a leading company in the robotics industry, known for its outstanding technology in building factory automation systems using the nation's largest "collaborative robots," as well as developing F&B robots such as barista robots, unmanned ice cream robots, and kimbap robots.
During the ceremony, President Kim Taesang stated, "Kyungnam College of Information & Technology will faithfully fulfill its role as a community college, working together with STS Robotech to educate international students so they can become a new driving force for the Busan economy."
Kim Gihwan, CEO of STS Robotech, said, "We will do our best together with Kyungnam College of Information & Technology to ensure that the settlement and employment of international students, who will become a new driving force for the local economy, proceeds in the right direction."
Kyungnam College of Information & Technology operates a one-stop program for international students, covering everything from local recruitment, entry into Korea, Korean language education, and bachelor's degree acquisition, to employment and settlement in Korea.
It is the only institution in the Busan area to be selected as a new IBT test center for the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), systematically operating support programs for international students.
