Galaxy AI UX and 2 Gold Awards Among Total 45 Awards

Samsung Electronics received a total of 45 awards, including two Gold Awards, at the globally prestigious design competition IDEA. The awards were given for designs reflecting customer lifestyles, such as sustainable designs embodying social values.

On the 13th, Samsung Electronics announced that it won 45 awards at IDEA, including two Gold Awards, one Silver Award, and two Bronze Awards. The 'Galaxy Artificial Intelligence (AI) User Experience (UX)' and 'Home Appliance Consumables Advanced Concept Design' received Gold Awards.
First, the Galaxy AI UX provides real-time translation functions from calls to messages based on Galaxy AI. It includes a 'Real-time Translation' feature supporting 16 languages and a 'Chat Assist' feature that offers message translation and tone adjustment. It also features 'Note Assist' in the Samsung Notes application, which summarizes complex texts simply and easily, and 'Browsing Assist,' which translates and summarizes internet pages into the desired language. Samsung Electronics first introduced 'Galaxy AI' in the Galaxy S24 series unveiled last January. It plans to make it available on 200 million Galaxy devices within this year.
The 'Home Appliance Consumables Advanced Concept Design' encourages users to naturally recognize consumable management and post-processing methods according to the color of consumables. Filters for home appliances such as air purifiers and vacuum cleaners need to be replaced every few months. Different colors such as gray (semi-permanent), green (recyclable), and brown (general) are applied according to consumer waste management methods to help customers easily understand and manage them.
The 'Galaxy Z Flip5' received a Silver Award. It applied a new 'Flex Hinge,' achieving a balanced design that is not only visually beautiful but also disperses external shocks. The 'Galaxy Tab S9 series,' enhanced for outdoor activities with strengthened durability, and 'AI Vision Inside,' which automatically updates food lists using the internal camera of the Bespoke AI Family Hub, received Bronze Awards.
Additionally, 40 products and services, including the all-in-one washer-dryer 'Bespoke AI Combo,' were selected as finalists among the 40 finalists.
