HiteJinro Conducts 'Neighborly Love for Vulnerable Groups' Sponsorship Activities for Chuseok On the 12th, HiteJinro held a donation ceremony for sponsored goods at the HiteJinro Seocho Building, attended by HiteJinro Executive Director Jeong Se-young (right), Seoul Community Chest of Korea Secretary General Shin Hye-young (left), and other related personnel.

Since 2012, HiteJinro has been sharing warm affection with neighbors during the Chuseok holiday for 13 years. This year, it will provide in-kind support to elderly people living alone and single-parent families nationwide. Through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea, 10,000 kg of rice (5 kg per person) will be delivered to 2,000 people at 33 social welfare institutions across the country, including senior welfare centers and single-parent support centers.

In particular, this year, to promote rice consumption and emphasize coexistence with technologically skilled small and medium venture companies, the sponsorship items were selected as ‘Mirae Rice,’ a newly harvested rice. ‘Mirae Rice,’ branded by startups ‘Permit’ and ‘Mr. Appa,’ in which HiteJinro has made follow-up investments, is produced through contract farming of the domestic variety 'Jomyeong 1ho' developed by the Jeonnam Agricultural Research & Extension Services. The contracted farms supply and manage the rice directly to maintain consistent quality. The rice grains are clear and sticky, making it a variety exported overseas to countries such as Russia and the United States.

Kim In-gyu, CEO of HiteJinro, said, "We hope that through HiteJinro’s small sharing, our precious neighbors in the local community will not be isolated and will always be together." He added, "As the leading liquor company celebrating its 100th anniversary for the first time in the industry, we will continue activities to care for vulnerable groups and spread the management value of ‘Sincerely 多(da).’"
