Five Task Forces with 150 Members for Disaster Prevention and Safety Management
Focus on Price Control, Minimizing Medical Gaps, and Livelihood Management
Gijang-gun, Busan will implement a 'Comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Plan' to ensure that residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday during the Chuseok holiday period (September 14-18).
Until the 18th, the county will focus on key measures closely related to residents' daily lives, including ▲disaster and safety management ▲measures to stabilize the local economy ▲transportation and logistics measures ▲emergency medical care ▲prompt handling of environmental maintenance and civil complaints ▲promotion of sharing culture for the underprivileged.
Additionally, during the holiday period, 150 personnel will be deployed across five task forces?general control, disaster situation, environmental cleaning, transportation, and quarantine?to actively engage in disaster prevention and safety management activities through both situation room and on-site duties.
As part of price stabilization efforts, the county will monitor the supply and price trends of key holiday goods, continuously conduct price monitoring on 20 priority items, and strengthen price guidance and enforcement.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, a transportation control center will be operated, and measures such as ▲additional city buses for cemetery visitors ▲temporary changes to village bus routes ▲securing temporary parking lots for cemetery visitors will be implemented.
For a clean urban environment, the county will conduct a comprehensive cleaning before and after the holiday, guide and strictly enforce regulations against illegal dumping of waste, and promote a generous and warm holiday atmosphere by supporting low-income and vulnerable groups, including elderly residents living alone without support.
In particular, an emergency medical situation room staffed by doctors and nurses at the public health center will monitor the operation of 219 hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies open during the holiday, conduct daily monitoring of any reduction in emergency medical services, and minimize medical service gaps during the holiday period.
County Mayor Jeong Jongbok stated, "We will do our utmost to implement thorough measures in each sector so that residents and visitors returning home can have a safe and comfortable holiday," adding, "We hope all residents and visitors enjoy a generous and heartwarming holiday."
