Korea Zinc held a 'Safety and Health Quiz Competition' as part of various programs to promote a safety and health culture. The event was held successfully with large participation not only from Korea Zinc employees but also from partner companies.

On the 12th, Korea Zinc announced that it successfully hosted the '2nd KZ GoGoUp Safety and Health Quiz Competition' on the 3rd. This event was organized to raise employees' safety awareness and strengthen their knowledge related to safety and health. It is the second consecutive year of this event, conducted as part of Korea Zinc’s company-wide efforts to enhance a culture of safety practice.

After an online preliminary round on the 27th of last month, a total of 40 participants competed in the finals on the 3rd of this month. Notably, many employees from partner companies also participated, making it a valuable opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to safety practices through mutual communication, which adds greater significance to the event.

Lee Jun-yong, Onsan Smelter Manager, stated, “The Safety and Health Quiz Competition is not just a simple knowledge test but an important occasion to revisit the safety and health activities we must practice inside and outside the company and to strengthen our determination to implement them. Safety is a culture that we all create together, and through this, we can build a safer workplace.”

Korea Zinc continues to lead efforts to improve safety and health awareness by hosting various safety and health events such as the ‘Safety Poster Contest,’ ‘Safety and Health Video Contest,’ ‘Risk Assessment Competition,’ and ‘Partner Company Co-growth Safety Seminar,’ which also involve employees’ families to establish a safety culture.
