"Request to Prioritize Osan for Additional Investment and Hiring"
On the morning of the 11th (local time), Lee Gwon-jae, mayor of Osan City, Gyeonggi Province, who is visiting the United States to attract investment, visited the headquarters of Lam Research located in Fremont, California, and requested the company to expand investment and hiring in the city.

Mayor Lee and his delegation met with Patrick Lord, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO), Andrew Cohen, Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy Development, and Lee Chae-su, President of Lam Research Manufacturing Korea, to explain the city's investment infrastructure.
Lam Research is a U.S.-based semiconductor equipment manufacturing company. In Korea, it has established Lam Research Manufacturing Korea and operates over 1,000 employees, including partners, across three campuses such as the Gajang Industrial Complex in Osan.
Mayor Lee stated, "Osan City has various strengths that can help it emerge as a specialized city for semiconductor materials, parts, and equipment," and requested Lam Research to prioritize hiring local Osan personnel when making additional investments and increasing workforce. In response, Vice President Cohen said, "Collaborating closely with customers nearby is a key strategy for Lam Research," adding, "We consider it very important to strengthen our solid foundation in Korea, including Osan."
