740,000㎡ Scale to Complete in 2027... Self-Sufficiency with Renewable Energy Draws Attention
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province is putting the 'H-Techno Valley General Industrial Complex' project, specialized in semiconductor and automobile parts, on the fast track.

H-Techno Valley is a special purpose company (SPC) established in 2021 through joint investment by Hanwha Solutions and Hwaseong Urban Corporation, holding 80% and 20% stakes respectively, to develop the H-Techno Valley project. The company is investing approximately 380 billion KRW to develop a 740,000㎡ semiconductor and automobile parts specialized industrial complex in the Yodang-ri area of Yanggam-myeon. The industrial complex received project approval last year, and this year will begin civil engineering works and land sales. The target completion date is 2027.
The 41 companies that signed tenancy agreements this time will receive industrial land within the complex through private contracts. The land supplied to these companies accounts for 410,000㎡, which is 45% of the total industrial land in the complex. The contracted companies plan to invest about 540 billion KRW to establish factories and other facilities in the complex.
The city expects that once the industrial complex is established, it will create 6,300 jobs, generate a production inducement effect of 2.8 trillion KRW, and a value-added inducement effect of 860 billion KRW. In particular, the city plans to develop this industrial complex as Gyeonggi Province’s first RE100 industrial complex, fully self-supplying power and other energy through renewable energy.
The location conditions of the industrial complex are also excellent. It is close to Cheongbuk IC on the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway, providing outstanding accessibility to major semiconductor and automobile production bases such as Samsung Electronics’ Godeok Campus. The surrounding area includes Bal-an General Industrial Complex and Pyeongtaek Dream Tech General Industrial Complex, indicating well-established industrial infrastructure.
Jung Myung-geun, mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "We will do our best to expedite the project in cooperation with H-Techno Valley, the project operator," adding, "We will present a smart industrial complex optimized for corporate management."
