Same-Day Application and Immediate Pickup at Incheon Airport
Unlimited 3% Cashback on Overseas Payments
Hyundai Duty Free is introducing the first foreign currency prepaid card in the duty-free industry.
On the 12th, Hyundai Duty Free announced that it will launch the 'Travel H Card,' a foreign currency prepaid card with overseas travel-related benefits, in collaboration with the prepaid card service fintech company 'Hanpass.'
The Travel H Card is a foreign currency prepaid check card that allows immediate conversion and use of Korean won. After applying on the same day, customers can pick up the card instantly at the Hyundai Duty Free Incheon Airport store desk and use it right away. Applications can be made through the Hanpass app, and pre-issued cards can also be received by mail.
Hyundai Duty Free emphasized that the Travel H Card is an all-in-one card that handles everything from card issuance and currency exchange to reconversion to Korean won in one process. Additionally, it offers benefits such as free overseas ATM withdrawal and Korean won reconversion fees, and unlimited 3% cashback on overseas payment amounts.
Until December 31, a card launch event will be held, providing vouchers with exclusive benefits for Incheon Airport. These include ▲ Hyundai Duty Free BLACK tier benefits ▲ Hyundai Duty Free prepaid card worth up to 400,000 KRW ▲ 10% discount coupons usable at Lotte GRS food and beverage outlets in Incheon Airport ▲ 15% buffet discount coupons at Grand Hyatt's 'Restaurant 8' ▲ and Martina lounge access passes.
Moreover, when making the first payment at Hyundai Duty Free Incheon Airport store with this card, the annual fee of 10,000 KRW will be refunded as cashback, and an additional 0.6% of the purchase amount will be returned for payments over 200,000 KRW.
A card design featuring Hyundai Department Store's own character 'Heundi' will also be introduced. Customers who receive the card will be given Heundi goods such as pens and stickers as gifts.
A Hyundai Duty Free representative stated, "We launched this travel-specialized card to provide more benefits to customers preparing for overseas trips during Chuseok and the October holidays," adding, "We will continue to strive to offer benefits from the customer's perspective and for the customers."
