Global streaming service Disney+ is continuously releasing original Korean content. With a lineup featuring top-tier actors, it is making a determined effort to expand K-content and secure market share in the Korean online video service (OTT) market.
Choi Yeon-woo, Head of Local Content at Walt Disney Company Korea, stated, "Although Disney+ has been operating in Korea for less than three years, it has steadily released local original content, thereby expanding its presence in the Korean content market."
He explained, "Starting from the second half of the year, major productions that will showcase Disney+'s capabilities will be released continuously. These rich contents, which consider not only high-quality storytelling and completeness but also genre diversity, will satisfy the tastes of both domestic and international consumers."
