SPC Group to Cut Prices by an Average of 7.3% Starting Late This Month
"Reducing Consumer Burden and Joining Efforts for Price Stability"
Baskin-Robbins Americano Price Also Temporarily Discounted
Paris Baguette announced on the 12th that it will reduce the price of bread by an average of 7.3% starting at the end of this month to contribute to price stabilization.
The items with reduced prices are three representative healthy bread products (High Dietary Fiber 1cm Whole Wheat Bread, Oat-filled Whole Grain Oat Bread, Roman Mill Bread), with the suggested retail prices expected to be lowered by 200 to 400 KRW each.
By item, the High Dietary Fiber 1cm Whole Wheat Bread will be reduced by 8.2%, from 4,900 KRW to 4,500 KRW. The Oat-filled Whole Grain Oat Bread will decrease by 7.7%, from 3,900 KRW to 3,600 KRW, and the Roman Mill Bread will drop by 5.6%, from 3,600 KRW to 3,400 KRW.
Meanwhile, Baskin-Robbins, an ice cream specialty brand operated by SPC, will run a promotion from the 23rd of this month to the 30th of next month, offering Americano coffee at a discounted price of 1,900 KRW from the original 2,800 KRW. Americano will be sold at a 32% discount from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and decaffeinated Americano will be sold at the discounted price from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
An SPC Group official explained, "To reduce the burden on consumers and contribute to price stabilization, we have lowered the price of bread, which is often chosen as a meal substitute, and prepared coffee discount events."
