About 450 people attended the ceremony, including police officials, National Assembly member Yoon Jae-ok, executives of the Development Association, and district chairpersons from across the country.

At the event, Police Commissioner Jo Ji-ho said in his congratulatory speech, "For the past 60 years, the Youth Development Association has carried out meaningful activities such as purifying harmful environments for youth and comforting the hardships of young heads of households facing difficult circumstances."

Kim Chang-ryong, former Police Commissioner and president of the Youth Development Association, stated, "We will actively cooperate in protective activities targeting young heads of households, youth preparing to enter society, children from multicultural families, and lead educational programs to prevent and treat youth cyber gambling, gaming, and drug addiction."

The Korea Youth Development Association was launched in 1964 as a government organization called the Youth Protection Measures Committee. It was expanded and reorganized into its current form in 2000, and now has about 100,000 members in 110 district associations nationwide, centered in Seoul, engaging in activities such as preventing school violence, monitoring harmful environments for youth, guiding at-risk youth, and scholarship projects.
