OB Beer announced on the 11th that it has decided to acquire Jeju Soju from Shinsegae Group's liquor specialist company Shinsegae L&B.

OB Beer, Shinsegae Acquire 'Jeju Soju'... "Entering Soju Business"

Jeju Soju is a brand that has focused on exports and expanded the distribution of soju in the global market. Through this acquisition, OB Beer plans to accelerate the global expansion of both Cass and Jeju Soju.

OB Beer plans to showcase a wider variety of Korean alcoholic beverages to global consumers by leveraging the strengths of the Cass and Jeju Soju brands and the growing momentum of the K-wave.

As the number one beer company in Korea, OB Beer is dedicated to the growth and leadership of the domestic beer market while also accelerating its global expansion. Recently, as the first domestic liquor brand to become an official Olympic partner, Cass operated a Korean-style street food stall-themed promotional booth called "Cass Pocha" in Paris, attracting significant global attention.

OB Beer has chosen Jeju Soju as a strategic partner for Cass’s global expansion. OB Beer plans to respond to the K-wave, which is expanding beyond K-culture to include K-food and beverages, through Cass and Jeju Soju.

Gu Ja-beom, Senior Vice President of OB Beer, said, "This acquisition is part of OB Beer’s long-term growth strategy and will open new possibilities. OB Beer is committed to providing the best beer experience to Korean consumers while focusing on expanding Cass’s export network through this acquisition."
