"Looking for a Handsome Man"... Why Was It Posted on 'Danggeun'?

On an online community, a post titled "A woman looking for a handsome man on Danggeun (secondhand trading platform Danggeun Market)" was uploaded. The author, A, opened by saying, "It's been over two months since I broke up with my ex-boyfriend, but seeing him move on quickly and live well really hurts my feelings." She continued, "If there is anyone who often hears that they are handsome, excuse me, but please take a mirror selfie with me anywhere." It seems she intends to post a couple photo pretending to be in a relationship, conscious of her ex-boyfriend.

A ended the post by saying, "I will even send a chicken gifticon as a token of appreciation."

Netizens who saw the post responded with various comments such as, "Handsome men, please help. I'm not one," "Is a chicken gifticon too little as a reward?", "Now Danggeun Market is even recruiting people," "There are many interesting recruitment posts these days," "If you see him in person and he's not handsome, does the gifticon just disappear?", "I want to find a pretty woman too," "How about making one with AI?" and "How funny would it be if her boyfriend saw this post?"

Chores like grass cutting, making jeon, waiting at popular restaurants... Unique recruitment posts catch attention

In addition, various unique recruitment posts for the Chuseok holiday are catching attention. Recently, on Danggeun Market, a post seeking a proxy to wait in line at a famous bakery was posted. The post stated, "I planned a trip to area A during the holiday period," and "I am looking for someone to save time. I will pay generously." Thanks to the popularity of SNS 'mukbang' and 'proof shots,' waiting times at major tourist spot restaurants have increased, and many similar recruitment posts were found.

There are also quite a few posts seeking someone to take care of pets during the holiday. One user wrote, "I have two Bichons. They are very gentle, so there should be no problem taking care of them," and added, "Looking for someone to feed and exercise them during the holiday. The daily wage is 100,000 won."

Since it is a holiday, there are many posts seeking help with making jeon (Korean pancakes) or grass cutting. Posts such as "Looking for someone to make jeon thinking of my family eating it" and "Hiring for grass cutting part-time job. Preferably someone with good stamina" are being posted.

Meanwhile, Danggeun Market plans to introduce a safe payment service for secondhand transactions in the second half of this year. Danggeun Market stated, "We introduced a new payment service to expand the options for remittance methods."
