Changwon Special City Awards Outstanding Departments for Prompt Local Fiscal Execution

On the 11th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held an awards ceremony for outstanding departments in the '2024 First Half Local Finance Rapid Execution Performance Evaluation.'

Award for Excellence in Prompt Execution Department.

This evaluation, based on performance as of the end of June this year, assessed a total of 213 departments using indicators such as first-half execution rate, execution amount, facility cost execution rate and amount, and execution rate in consumption and investment sectors. The departments were divided into four groups: main office, direct agencies and business offices, district offices, and towns and villages.

As a result, the top-performing departments were the Investment Promotion Team of the Economic and Job Creation Bureau, Fire Policy Division of Changwon Fire Headquarters, Economic and Transportation Division of Masanhwawon District, and Jaeun-dong of Jinhae District. The excellent departments were the New Transportation Promotion Team of the Transportation and Construction Bureau, Agricultural Products Distribution Division of the Agricultural Technology Center, Safety and Construction Division of Masanhappo District, and Bansong-dong of Seongsan District.

The outstanding departments received certificates and prize money, with 750,000 KRW awarded to the top departments and 500,000 KRW to the excellent departments.

As a result of all departments in Changwon Special City promoting rapid fiscal execution to revitalize the local economy in the first half of the year, the city achieved 104.9% in the new execution sector and 107.8% in the second-quarter consumption and investment sector compared to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's target. In July, Changwon was selected as an 'excellent' local government in the Gyeongsangnam-do evaluation and secured a special adjustment grant of 200 million KRW.
