"Apple, Are You Watching?"... YouTuber Creates 2m-Tall 'Super iPhone'

Popular US YouTuber Creates 'Largest Ever iPhone'

A YouTuber who personally created a 'giant iPhone' measuring 2 meters in length has emerged, drawing attention ahead of Apple's iPhone 16 unveiling.

On the 6th (local time), the World Guinness Book announced that tech YouTubers Arun Maini and Matthew Pux set a new world record with the 'largest iPhone in history.' The two are influencers with over 19 million subscribers on the 'Mrwhosetheboss' channel and about 4.6 million subscribers on the 'DIYPerks' channel, respectively.

Recently, the two created a model version of the iPhone 15 Pro Max in an enlarged scale. Although this model smartphone, measuring 2 meters in length, does not share actual iPhone parts or cameras, it reportedly replicates almost all the functions of a real smartphone.

Arun even uploaded videos of himself operating the phone. He can scroll the screen with both arms, take videos and photos, and even download and run applications (apps) just like a real phone.

Because it is a giant phone, all the detailed components are different. For example, the camera lens on this phone is not a real lens. Instead, a full Japanese Canon camera is installed behind the lens model.

The interior of the phone is essentially equivalent to housing several PCs. It is equipped with 24 Intel Core i9 central processing units (CPUs) worth $700 (about 940,000 KRW) each, and the storage capacity is secured with a 4-terabyte (TB) solid-state drive (SSD).

Arun, who has been creating tech-related videos on YouTube since 2011, said he prepared this event to celebrate his channel surpassing the subscriber count of Apple's official YouTube channel.

After seeing the actual giant phone in operation, he commented, "It was the moment everything became perfect. I am truly proud that Matthew and I accomplished something no one else has done."
