"Seonbichon Free Admission... Yeongju Implements Comprehensive Holiday Measures"

Free Admission to Seonbi Sesang, Sosu Seowon, and More on Chuseok Day

Yeongju City will implement a comprehensive holiday plan for Chuseok from the 14th to the 18th.

On the 11th, Yeongju City announced that it has established sector-specific measures closely related to residents' daily lives and will operate a comprehensive situation room during the five-day Chuseok holiday.

The city will assign a total of around 256 staff members across eight sectors, including environment (waste), transportation, disaster safety, emergency medical care, emergency water supply, foot-and-mouth disease, AI, and ASF quarantine, aiming to respond swiftly and minimize inconvenience for citizens.

During the holiday period, 78 on-duty medical institutions and 34 on-duty pharmacies will be designated and operated for emergency patients, and a 24-hour emergency medical system will be established to minimize medical service gaps. An environmental response team will also be organized to collect household and food waste, providing a clean and pleasant environment for returning visitors.

Additionally, the city will organize a special transportation team to provide comfortable and safe transportation services during the holiday. In advance, major arterial roads and signboards were maintained, and transportation workers received pre-holiday training by the 6th.

To boost the local economy, the city will increase the purchase limit for local gift certificates and provide financial support and interest subsidies for small business owners and SMEs. Furthermore, to foster a warm holiday atmosphere, Mayor Park Namseo and senior officials will visit social welfare facilities, taking the lead in spreading a culture of sharing.

During the holiday, various events will be held at major tourist attractions in the city. At Seonbichon and Seonbisesang, family experience programs and traditional play zones will be operated, and on Chuseok day, Seonbisesang, Seonbichon, and Sosuseowon will be open to the public free of charge.

Mayor Park Namseo of Yeongju City stated, "We have prepared a comprehensive plan to minimize administrative gaps during the long holiday," and added, "We hope both returning visitors and citizens have a safe Chuseok."
