World-Renowned Hair Designer Sassoon's Mark Hayes to Visit Dongmyung University in Busan

Sasun Schoolship Hair Seminar on 12th-13th, First Hosted by a Four-Year University Nationwide

The global beauty group Sassoon's world-renowned master, the 'Mark Hayes Hair Seminar & Workshop,' will be held at Tongmyong University in Busan.

Tongmyong University will host the Sassoon (SASSOON) Schoolship International Creative Director Mr. Mark Hayes' Look & Learn hair seminar and workshop on September 12-13 at the main auditorium of the central library and the hair practice room.

Mark Hayes is a globally recognized hair creative director and artist, acknowledged for his over 40 years of experience and top-level skills at Vidal Sassoon.

Through the seminar and workshop at Tongmyong University, he will introduce the mindset of beauty professionals toward clients, Sassoon's philosophy, the originality of Sassoon's cuts, and creative inspiration, sharing his knowledge and experience.

On the first day, the 12th, from 2 PM to 5 PM, six representatives from Tongmyong University's school enterprises (Themin Hair, Growing Salon, Hwameeju Hair, Manode Jamie, Violi, etc.) will receive one-on-one personal hair design coaching from Mark Hayes in the hair practice room.

At 6 PM, in the main auditorium of the central library, the six beauty industry representatives who attended the workshop will showcase the models they trained under Mark Hayes, officially opening the Mark Hayes seminar for Tongmyong University undergraduates, graduate students, beauty high school teachers and students, and hair designers from the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region.

On the 13th, from 1 PM to 6 PM in two sessions, Mark Hayes will provide practical hair design instruction to six Tongmyong University participants of the Tokyo Sassoon Competition and six beauty industry hair designers.

Professor Kim Seoin, head of the Department of Hair Design at Tongmyong University, said, "This is the first time a world-class master has held a hair seminar in Busan. Professor Kim Seoin holds the distinction of being the nation's youngest and the first in the southeast region to earn a Ph.D. in Beauty Arts (2009), the youngest master hair technician in Busan (2005), and has over 20 years of hands-on industry experience.

The Department of Hair Design at Tongmyong University’s College of Beauty Arts became the first four-year university in Korea to officially partner with SASSOON ACADEMY UK in London and SASSOON SCHOOLSHIP. The department offers classes taught by faculty who completed the Sassoon Academy Teacher Director Course (TDTC), special curriculum training for students at the London Sassoon headquarters, and biannual seminars and workshops in Korea by directors from Sassoon Academy London.
