Hanwha Unveils Advanced Military Satellite Communication Solutions at Australian Defense Exhibition

November 11-13 'Landforce 2024' Participation
"Targeting Five Eyes... Strengthening Cooperation"

Hanwha announced on the 11th that it will showcase a comprehensive defense solution incorporating military satellite communication technology at the global defense exhibition 'Land Forces 2024' held in Australia.

Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha Systems are participating in the exhibition held in Melbourne, Australia, from the 11th to the 13th, setting up an integrated exhibition hall of approximately 200 pyeong.

Following the successful export of the K9 self-propelled howitzer and Redback armored vehicle, Hanwha plans to expand cooperation in the space sector and strengthen defense collaboration with Australia by targeting the 'Five Eyes' (Australia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, Canada intelligence alliance) market.

Hanwha Systems will unveil the 'C4I Tactical Communication Solution' based on low Earth orbit satellite communication and 5G at this exhibition. This solution integrates Command, Control, Communication, Computer, and Intelligence into one system.

During the demonstration, real-time video transmission between drones and vehicles will be shown from the Melbourne exhibition hall to the Redback production plant in Geelong, located 70 km away. This proves that smooth operation is possible even in situations where ground communication networks are disrupted at the exhibition site.

Hanwha Aerospace will exhibit the Korean launch vehicle 'Nuri,' which is responsible for system integration. To strengthen bilateral cooperation in the space sector, they plan to meet with local institutions and companies during the exhibition period to discuss future business collaboration.

Large-scale Exhibition of Advanced Equipment Including Armored Vehicle 'Tigon' and Multiple Launch Rocket System 'Cheonmu'

Hanwha Aerospace will display the amphibious wheeled armored vehicle 'Tigon' and the multiple launch rocket system 'Cheonmu.' The Tigon can operate on land and water and can be optimized for missions by equipping various armaments. The Cheonmu is equipped with guided missiles capable of precisely striking multiple targets.

Additionally, AI-based remote and autonomous unmanned reconnaissance vehicles and Modular Charge System (MCS), which can load an appropriate amount of propellant according to the target range, will also be introduced. These technologies are expected to significantly enhance multi-mission capabilities on future battlefields.

A Hanwha Aerospace official said, "We have built trust with Australia through the export of the K9 self-propelled howitzer and Redback armored vehicle, and based on this, we will accelerate our efforts to target the Five Eyes market," adding, "We will continue to expand cooperation in the defense and space sectors."
