Hanwha TotalEnergies "Enjoy Seosan Specialty Products with Our Clients"

'Seosan Bapsang Day' Sharing Seosan Agricultural and Marine Products

Hanwha TotalEnergies announced on the 11th that it held 'Seosan Bapsang Day,' an event to purchase various agricultural and marine products and specialties from farms and fishing villages in the Seosan area during the Chuseok holiday and deliver them to client companies.

Seosan Bapsang Day is a regional and customer win-win activity that involves bulk purchasing of local agricultural and marine products to be used as ingredients in client companies' cafeterias. It has been carried out since 2021, when the local economy was struggling due to COVID-19.

For this event, about 50 million KRW was spent to purchase Seosan specialties such as gim (seaweed), doenjang (soybean paste), ganjang (soy sauce), mushrooms, rice, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, potatoes, and hangwa (traditional Korean sweets). The agricultural and marine product purchases utilized the Rural and Fishing Village Win-Win Cooperation Fund, to which Hanwha TotalEnergies contributes annually through the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small and Medium Enterprises and Agriculture and Fisheries.

The Seosan specialties purchased by Hanwha TotalEnergies were professionally packaged and delivered to 76 client companies, providing delicious side dishes on employees' tables.

On the 10th, the company also visited SPC Pack Co., Ltd., a client company in the synthetic resin products sector, to personally deliver various agricultural and marine products.

A Hanwha TotalEnergies official said, "Seosan Bapsang Day is a meaningful social contribution activity that supports local farms and fishing communities by purchasing local agricultural and marine products and gifts the taste of Seosan to our client companies. We plan to continue various win-win activities for the local community in the future."
