Sancheong County to Hold Private Document Collection Contest

Development and Daily Life until October 18

Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam will hold the '2024 Sancheong Private Records Collection Contest' until the 18th.

This project, promoted as part of the '2024 Gyeongnam Province Regional Documentation Project,' aims to establish community identity, discover local values, and ultimately create sustainable policies to attract population inflow.

Sancheong-gun was selected as the target area for the Gyeongnam Province contest project under the theme 'Sancheong-gun that saves people,' and together with the Gyeongsangnam-do Archives, will collect records under the theme 'My Place in Sancheong's History,' focusing on the development, changes, and daily life in Sancheong before the year 2000.

Anyone who possesses relevant records can apply by visiting in person, mailing, or sending via email.

For in-person applications, submit the original records and application form to the Administrative Department of Sancheong-gun Office or the Records Preservation Department of the Gyeongsangnam-do Archives. The contest is divided into student and general categories, with awards including the Grand Prize (one recipient each for the Governor of Gyeongnam Award), Excellence and Merit Prizes (ten recipients each for the Sancheong-gun Mayor Award), and Honorable Mentions (ten recipients each).

The submitted works will be shared with residents through a records exhibition to highlight the value and memories of Sancheong, and will be donated to the Gyeongsangnam-do Archives for preservation.
