Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Launches 'Barrier-Free Tourism Pilot Tour' for Tourism-Considerate Groups

Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Launches 'Barrier-Free Tourism Pilot Tour' for Tourism-Considerate Groups Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will develop barrier-free tourism courses and operate pilot tours this year.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will conduct a 'Barrier-Free Tourism Pilot Tour' for tourism-vulnerable groups until October 22.

Previously, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization developed customized tourism courses with improved accessibility for six types of tourism-vulnerable groups, including those with visual and auditory impairments, physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, the elderly, and families with infants and young children, to create an environment where everyone can equally enjoy tourism.

In particular, the significance lies in participants directly joining the tour and collaboratively developing tourism courses that reflect their needs from their own perspectives.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will conduct six sessions of the tour with around 20 participants each. After the tour, participants' satisfaction with tourism services and environments will be analyzed and reflected in future tourism course development. This pilot tour offers specialized programs tailored to each group.

The tour operation includes guides, safety personnel, and photographers accompanying the group, and, if necessary, video narrators and sign language interpreters will also join. Participants will receive a travel itinerary, informational brochures about tourist sites, and commemorative photo printing services.
