Jeju National University’s Future Convergence College, consisting of four departments where students can balance work and study, is accepting early admissions for the 2025 academic year.
According to Jeju National University on the 10th, the four departments include Health Beauty and Fragrance, Tourism Convergence, Silver Care Welfare, and Real Estate Management, with the early admission period running from the 9th to the 13th.
The Future Convergence College at Jeju National University supports graduates of high school who enter the workforce immediately to have opportunities for study at any desired time.
To enable lifelong education throughout one’s entire life, the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education are conducting support projects for university lifelong education systems. Jeju National University has been selected for seven consecutive years, recognized as a leading lifelong learning institution in Jeju Province.
Graduates receive a bachelor’s degree equivalent to that of a four-year university, allowing for graduate school admission after graduation. There is also the advantage of realizing lifelong learning dreams by advancing to roles such as university lecturers or professors.
Eligibility for application includes those who have graduated from high school or higher and are aged 30 or older, or those who have graduated from specialized high schools and have at least three years of work experience in industry; all can apply without requiring college entrance exam scores.
Additionally, with various scholarship benefits and academic schedules conducted through night, weekend, and online classes, this university is suitable for students balancing work and study.
The Future Convergence College at Jeju National University consists of four departments. The Health Beauty and Fragrance Department offers a four-year regular university program awarding a Bachelor of Beauty. It specializes in medical beauty therapy based on basic sciences and skin biomedical sciences, leading K-Beauty Therapy with advanced beauty services equipped with functional elements, scientific knowledge, and service management mindset.
The Tourism Convergence Department focuses on understanding the creation of new value worlds through the combination of new technologies, resources, and services in tourism. It emphasizes understanding product planning, product development, and marketing strategies related to tourism convergence. The department trains specialized personnel in tourism convergence across various fields such as IT, BT, cultural content, storytelling, and the sixth industry, capable of successfully integrating Jeju’s comparative advantage industries with tourism. The educational goal is to cultivate creative talents through lectures, discussions, action learning, and field training.
The Silver Care Welfare Department aims to nurture future-oriented social welfare experts who will become key members of the silver society. It systematically organizes academic curricula required in counseling services, case management, social service provision, activities in the elderly-friendly industry, and policy-making processes.
The Real Estate Management Department studies various real estate phenomena and issues arising from human activities such as ownership, appraisal, brokerage, and management mediated by real estate.
Through comprehensive education on fundamental theories, policies, development, appraisal, management operation, and analysis of real estate, the department cultivates professionals with specialized perspectives and opinion leaders equipped with comprehensive and systematic views who meet the demands of the Jeju local community market.
