Recreating 1960s-80s Seoul Daldongnae
Filming of Over 80 Domestic Dramas and Movies
Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it will hold a special event at the Suncheon Drama Film Set to celebrate the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The Suncheon Drama Film Set operates year-round and is a popular tourist attraction where over 80 domestic dramas and movies have been filmed. It recreates the outskirts of Seoul, shantytowns, and the downtown streets of Suncheon, set in the 1960s to 1980s.

This event will take place over two days, from the 16th to the 17th, where visitors can enjoy various hands-on activities such as puffed rice snacks, toy car racing, Yutnori (traditional Korean board game), millstone and mortar experiences.
Additionally, visitors wearing Hanbok from the 16th to the 18th can enter free of charge.
A Suncheon city official said, “We prepared this event so that the younger generation can have a unique experience and the elderly can reminisce, allowing three generations to enjoy a trip together,” adding, “We hope families create joyful memories during the Chuseok holiday.”
Meanwhile, Suncheon offers many family-friendly travel destinations throughout the city, including not only the Drama Film Set but also Ocheon Green Square, Green Island, Suncheonman National Garden, and the Christian History Museum.
