KEF, KOSHA, and KOSME Sign 'Busan Headquarters' Agreement
Three key organizations, serving as the practical command centers for industrial sites, are joining forces with the aim of advancing industry, ensuring safety, and creating jobs in the Busan region.
This project involves the Busan Employers Federation, the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and the Busan Branch of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, who are establishing a network-linked system to collaborate and share information.
The core of this project is for the three organizations to integrate their respective functions and provide comprehensive support for safety, technology, and employment policies in a "full-package" format.
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency will take charge of policy funding and plans to support vouchers related to innovation and exports. It will also lead initiatives to strengthen companies' technological competitiveness, such as supporting the transition to carbon neutrality, infrastructure development, and the Naeil Chaeum Deduction program.
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency will focus entirely on preventing serious industrial accidents that can cause significant losses for companies. It plans to provide risk assessment consulting and lead projects that offer loans or subsidies for industrial accident prevention facilities. The agency also intends to support joint safety managers for small businesses and establish safety and health management systems.
With over 5,000 member companies and affiliated workplaces, the Busan Employers Federation will take on projects to support employment retention and labor-management cooperation, promoting collaboration and communication between institutions. It also plans to support job leap incentives and suitable job placement programs.
Kim Jaehwan, Head of the Corporate Support Team at the Busan Employers Federation, explained that this full-package support plan involves the organizations maintaining their business agreements and collaborating to promote both administrative and practical operations.
Kim Kwangsu, President of the Busan Employers Federation, emphasized, "This is a time when collaboration is essential to comprehensively support the creation of an industrial innovation ecosystem for companies in the Busan region. We will enhance corporate competitiveness by advancing labor-management relations and improving the quality of human resources to thrive in the era of limitless digital competition."
Cho Seungmin, Head of the Busan Branch of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, stated, "We plan to actively provide policy funds for the innovation and development of Busan companies. In line with the full-package initiative of the three organizations, we will also devote efforts to various forms of cooperation and support."
Gong Heungdoo, Head of the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, said, "We will actively pursue workplace risk assessment, consulting for establishing safety and health systems, and various financial support projects. As the core of this three-organization agreement is network building and package support, we will create synergy by sharing human and material resources."
The three organizations will hold a signing ceremony under the title "Business Agreement for Industrial Development, Safety, and Job Creation in the Busan Region" at the Busan Employers Federation from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. on the 11th.
The agreement period will last for one year, from the 11th until September 10th of next year, with plans for extension through further consultation.
