GrandeClip Completes Acquisition of Golf Wear Brand 'AmazingKlee'

Grande Clip, founded by Kim Bong-jin, former chairman and founder of Baedal Minjok (hereafter Baemin), announced on the 10th that it has completed the acquisition of AMC R, known for the premium golfwear brand Amazing Cre and ICEBERG GOLF.

Grande Clip formed a consortium with Altos Ventures and led the transaction. It secured all shares held by major shareholders such as Metis Stone Equity Partners and most of the shares held by AMC R's management team.

Founded in 2020, AMC R operates the golf apparel and equipment brand Amazing Cre. Despite the shrinking golfwear market after the COVID-19 endemic, it has maintained rapid growth, surpassing annual sales of 50 billion KRW within four years of its launch. AMC R established a 100% subsidiary, IG Korea, last year and launched the Italian golf brand ICEBERG GOLF earlier this year.

Grande Clip explained that a decisive factor behind this acquisition was former chairman Kim’s high evaluation of Bae Seul-gi, co-CEO and brand founder. With the completion of AMC R’s acquisition, Grande Clip plans to develop Amazing Cre into a global premium functional apparel brand.

AMC R, now an affiliate of Grande Clip, will be reorganized under the new co-CEO In Ki-wan and existing co-CEO Bae Seul-gi. In Ki-wan, currently CEO of Grande Clip Korea, previously served as Baemin Vietnam CEO and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Delivery Hero Asia. Bae Seul-gi, AMC R’s existing co-CEO, will lead the next growth phase of the Grande Clip team and Amazing Cre. Yoo Yong-moon, co-CEO responsible for sales, business management, and investment attraction at AMC R, will take on an advisory role after the acquisition to support Amazing Cre’s continuous growth.
