1221 SMEs Participate in 'Korea Sourcing Week'...Consultation Amount Reaches 330 Billion KRW

Jungjingong-Junggi Distribution Center, Successfully Concludes '2024 Korea Sourcing Week'

The Small and Medium Business Corporation and the Small Enterprise Distribution Center announced on the 10th that they successfully held the '2024 Korea Sourcing Week (KOREA SOURCING WEEK 2024)'.


The Sourcing Week, held over two days on the 5th and 6th at the Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Center, is an event that conducts domestic and export business consultations in one space, providing small and medium enterprises with opportunities for both domestic and export consultations simultaneously. This event offered 1,221 small and venture companies opportunities to develop domestic and overseas sales channels.


At the one-on-one export consultation hosted by the Small and Medium Business Corporation, 723 domestic small and medium enterprises and 114 overseas buyers from 31 countries participated, achieving export consultation results worth a total of $16.083 million USD (approximately 217.5 billion KRW). At the domestic consultation hosted by the Small Enterprise Distribution Center, 498 domestic small and medium enterprises and 54 domestic buyers participated, resulting in consultations worth a total of 109.1 billion KRW.

Additionally, the Small and Medium Business Corporation enhanced promotional effects by introducing and demonstrating products with excellent competitiveness to domestic and overseas buyers through an experiential showroom-style exhibition hall. Notably, this year, the scope was expanded beyond consumer goods such as beauty, living, and food to include industrial goods such as machinery, parts, mobility, IT, and solutions, with a total of 100 companies exhibiting a variety of products.


In the live commerce hall, Kang Seok-jin, Director of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, made a special appearance to promote the excellence of Korean small and medium enterprise products to overseas consumers, while inviting influencers from China and ASEAN to conduct real-time sales broadcasts for 37 products.


The Small Enterprise Distribution Center invited major domestic distribution channels such as Wadiz, Lotte Duty Free, and Kim's Club to hold briefing sessions on entering distribution channels and operated a sales channel consulting desk, a professional consulting window for addressing small and medium enterprise difficulties.


Kang Seok-jin, Director of the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, “Through this Korea Sourcing Week, we will actively support small and venture companies so that consultations through Sourcing Week can lead to exports, along with their advancement into both domestic and overseas markets.”
