Scheduled for reintegration into Singil Redevelopment Promotion District
LH to proceed with public redevelopment method
Parks on north and south sides of project site and public pedestrian pathways within complex also planned
After 7 years since the zone was lifted, Singil 1 District will be incorporated into the Redevelopment Promotion Zone. Singil 1 District will be transformed into an apartment complex with up to 45 floors and 1,471 households through public redevelopment.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 10th that it held the 7th Urban Redevelopment Committee and approved the revised decision plan for the redevelopment promotion of Singil 1 District in the area of Singil-dong 147-80.
Singil 1 District was lifted from the zone in 2017, selected as a candidate site for public redevelopment in 2021, and after a preliminary planning stage, the district designation has now been completed.
The total area of Singil 1 District is 60,334㎡, where 1,471 apartment units (including 435 rental housing units) and ancillary and welfare facilities will be constructed. The number of households by area is planned as follows: △ 39㎡ - 110 units △ 59㎡ - 502 units △ 84㎡ - 771 units △ 114㎡ - 88 units. Sale and rental housing will be mixed.
Roads in poor condition will be improved, and parks will be newly established on the north and south sides of the site to expand necessary infrastructure for local residents. A public pedestrian passage will also be created within the complex, reflecting existing pedestrian routes.
According to this redevelopment promotion plan decision, Singil 1 District will proceed with the project implementation approval process next year after designating the project implementer (LH) and other procedures.
Han Byung-yong, Director of the Housing Office at Seoul City, said, "Through public redevelopment, we will be able to provide quality pedestrian environments along with housing supply," adding, "We will continue to actively support not only the stabilization of the housing market but also the improvement of the quality of life for local residents."
