Grand Prize Goes to Gangdong Art Citizen Theater's 'Manseon'
'Korea Theater Festival in Yongin' Also Concludes
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 10th that the '3rd Korea Citizen Theater Festival Yongin' concluded with the closing ceremony held at the Maru Hall of Yongin Culture and Arts Hall on the 8th.

Following the Citizen Theater Festival, the '42nd Korea Theater Festival Yongin,' held under the theme 'Dreaming of a Theater Renaissance' since June 28, also wrapped up its 73-day journey.
At the Korea Citizen Theater Festival, which opened on the 31st of last month, eight citizen theater groups from across the country who advanced to the finals took the stage to compete, and side events such as the Fringe Festival and citizen workshops were also held.
The Grand Prize for group awards at this theater festival (Governor of Gyeonggi Province Award) was awarded to 'Manseon' by Gangdong Art Citizen Theater, and the Excellence Award (Chairman of Gyeonggi Provincial Council Award) went to 'Women of the Palace' by Daejeon Office Worker Theater Group Sisikolkool. Both the Grand Prize and Excellence Award recipients received certificates, trophies, and prize money of 3 million KRW and 1 million KRW, respectively.
The Best Acting Award was given to actor Im Daesung of Citizen Theater Group Uri and actor Park Kyungsun of Gangdong Art Citizen Theater.
A city official said, "We thank the citizens who found charm in the genre of life theater and came to the stage during the theater festival period," adding, "We will continue to make efforts so that citizens can enjoy various theater stages in the future."
