GOLFZON County Seonsan (Par 72 · 7,135 yards) is about to receive a flood of gifts.
From the 12th for four days, the 16th tournament of the 2024 Korean Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour, the GOLFZON-Doray Open, will be held at this battleground. The tournament is co-hosted by GOLFZON Nudin Group and Toray Advanced Materials and organized by the KPGA Tour. Star players such as Kim Min-gyu, ranked first in prize money, Jang Yu-bin, first in Genesis Points, Kim Hong-taek, champion of the GS Caltex Maekyung Open, and defending champion Jeong Chan-min will all participate.
The scale for the players has been increased. Compared to last year’s tournament, the prize money has been raised by 300 million KRW, making the total prize fund 1 billion KRW, with the winner’s prize at 200 million KRW. This is expected to be a turning point in the increasingly fierce competition for prize money and Genesis Points as the season progresses into the second half. The 18th hole of the tournament (Par 5 · 566 yards) is the signature hole of GOLFZON County Seonsan. It features a wide fairway, a large pond, and artistic bunkers in harmony. Many players made aggressive plays on this course last year. This year, players are also expected to attempt ‘2-on’ shots.
Various fan services are also available for the gallery. Customers who make advance reservations by the 10th can enter the tournament venue free of charge the day before the event. Visitors to the tournament site will receive a GOLFZON mobile voucher worth 5,000 KRW each day. Those who visit the golf course for all four consecutive days can receive vouchers worth up to 20,000 KRW. Coinciding with the Chuseok holiday, the largest-ever gallery raffle prizes will be given away. If a player scores a hole-in-one on the 17th hole, a Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback provided by Jungang Motors to the player will also be raffled off to the gallery. Massage chairs, iron sets, and other gifts will be given away through on-site raffles.
