Democratic Party Jeonbuk Provincial Committee Visits Facilities for Chuseok... Delivers Consolation Gifts

The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Party Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea (Chairman Lee Won-taek) announced on the 9th that it visited social welfare facilities in Jinan and Wanju to comfort facility workers and residents and deliver necessary supplies to facilities for the disabled in celebration of Chuseok.


The visit was conducted to promote a coexisting social culture and enhance the rights of the disabled as fundamental citizen rights. During the facility visits, they held meetings with on-site workers to listen to difficulties and discuss support needed for facility operations and policy improvement measures.

The visit to Hinmasil (Baegun-myeon, Jinan-gun), a residential facility for people with intellectual disabilities, and Eunhyeui Dongsan (Soyang-myeon, Wanju-gun), a residential facility for the disabled, was attended by Jeon Chun-seong, Jinan County Governor; Jeon Yong-tae (Jinan), Jeonbuk Provincial Assembly member; Dong Chang-ok, Chairman and members of Jinan County Council; Yoo Ui-sik, Chairman and members of Wanju County Council; party officials; and party members.


Lee Won-taek, Chairman of the Jeonbuk Party Committee, stated, "We are well aware of the need for care and residential facilities for people with severe disabilities, and we will strive to expand pilot projects. We will work closely with the relevant local governments to ensure stable facility operations and improve the treatment of facility workers, and endeavor to promote these efforts through policy."


Meanwhile, the Democratic Party of Korea Jeonbuk Party Committee's traditional market shopping campaign is scheduled to visit traditional markets in Gimje and Buan on the 13th.
