Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 9th that from September 9th to 15th, a 7-day Onnuri Gift Certificate reimbursement event for domestically produced seafood will be held at Gijang Market in celebration of Chuseok.
The event will take place from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at around 70 stores in the Gijang Market autonomous commercial district that sell domestically produced seafood.
In particular, with the recent designation of the Gijang Market autonomous commercial district, the number of participating stores has greatly increased. To help customers easily identify participating stores, special signs are displayed in front of each store.
During the event, customers who purchase domestically produced seafood at participating stores can receive up to 20,000 KRW in Onnuri Gift Certificates, depending on their purchase amount. Purchases of 34,000 KRW or more are eligible for a 10,000 KRW reimbursement, and purchases of 67,000 KRW or more are eligible for a 20,000 KRW reimbursement in Onnuri Gift Certificates. Please note that the event may end early if the gift certificates run out.
After merchants register the purchase details of domestically produced seafood through the simple reimbursement system, customers can receive their gift certificates by submitting the same-day purchase receipt and their mobile phone number at the reimbursement booth set up in the Gijang Market public parking lot. The gift certificates will be issued after verifying the purchase details and the customer's identity.
A Gijang-gun official stated, "This event has been organized for Chuseok to help stabilize market prices and promote seafood sales. We hope everyone visiting Gijang Market will enjoy generous hospitality, fresh and affordable seafood, and that both merchants and customers have a bountiful Chuseok."
