The Presidential Office pointed out that former President Moon Jae-in and Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying "An unprepared president has taken power, causing chaos in the country," should "reflect on themselves before making such attacks."

A Presidential Office official met with reporters at the Yongsan Presidential Office on the afternoon of the 9th and criticized, "(The Moon Jae-in administration) should once again recall the criticisms it received, such as economic collapse due to income-led growth, destruction of the nuclear power ecosystem, diplomatic failure, and fiscal collapse."

Earlier, Lee visited former President Moon at Pyeongsan Village in Yangsan, Gyeongnam the previous day. Lee criticized the recent prosecution investigation targeting Moon's family, emphasizing, "The current government's behavior is political oppression that is incomprehensible both politically and legally."

Additionally, the two agreed that "An unprepared president has taken power, causing chaos in the country and increasing public anxiety and concern," and that the Democratic Party should become an alternative force.
