Incheon Soraepogu Festival Held from 27th to 29th... Transformed into an Ecological Resource Event

The Incheon Sorae Port Festival, celebrating its 24th anniversary this year, will be held from the 27th to the 29th around the Sorae Port area in Namdong-gu.

Namdong-gu announced on the 9th that the Sorae Port Festival, which was previously classified under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's festival category as a 'Local Specialty Type,' will be changed to an 'Ecological Resource Type' starting this year.

The festival site will be divided into 10 zones, including Experience Zones and Art Zones. Experience events will include the Sorae Mudflat Mud Playground and the Sorae Salt Farm Salt Playground.

Additionally, there will be 'Ecological Experience Booths' such as a Black-faced Spoonbill photo exhibition and marine life character balloon making, 'ESG Experience Booths' featuring sea glass and waste product upcycling, and 'Art Experience Booths' including sea drawing and acrylic lighting making.

Along with regionally specialized performances like the West Coast Bumper Harvest Festival, Sorae National Singing Contest, and Sorae Food Video Festival, there will also be congratulatory performances by famous singers such as Park Jeong-hyun, Hong Jin-young, and Ulala Session.

Furthermore, the 'Sorae Drone Light Show,' which expresses Sorae Port's symbols through drones, and the 'Sorae Marine Fireworks Show' will beautifully illuminate the night sky over the area.

Park Jong-hyo, head of Namdong-gu Office, said, "We hope this festival will be an opportunity to widely promote the scenery and ecological resources of Sorae Port," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that Sorae Port truly becomes a representative tourist destination of the metropolitan area."
