Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun Urges Minimizing Medical Gaps and Stabilizing Prices During Chuseok Holiday

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun is speaking at the '2024 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures Report Meeting' on the 9th.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun urged public officials to "do their best to minimize medical service gaps and stabilize prices during the Chuseok holiday period."

On the 9th, Mayor Lee attended the '2024 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures Report Meeting' held at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, where he said, "Establish an emergency medical treatment system so that citizens do not suffer difficulties from not receiving proper medical care during the holiday period," and "Provide easy access to information on hospitals and clinics that are open."

He added, "To ensure that the comprehensive Chuseok holiday measures are practically helpful to citizens, department and bureau heads should engage in thorough discussions, and each department head should hold inspection meetings to check whether the measures are being properly implemented."

He also emphasized, "Sending text messages about places worth visiting and cultural events during the Chuseok holiday would be helpful to citizens," and "Special attention must be paid to caring for vulnerable groups."

Suwon City has prepared a comprehensive plan aimed at "a safe and warm Chuseok holiday with no gaps," consisting of five major areas: ▲establishing a flawless safety system including accident prevention ▲practicing warm-hearted neighborly love ▲minimizing inconvenience to residents ▲supporting safe cultural leisure ▲and establishing public service discipline.

Suwon City will operate a 'Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Situation Team' composed of 26 teams from September 14 to 18. In addition, a comprehensive plan for vulnerable groups during the Chuseok holiday will be established and implemented, and each district health center will operate an emergency response team and establish an emergency medical treatment system.
