He particularly emphasized that Korea, once a country without hope due to Japanese colonial rule and war, achieved miraculous economic growth because the entire nation participated as one in the Saemaul Undong movement, with North Gyeongsang Province at its core.

Furthermore, he highlighted that North Gyeongsang Province, the foundation of global companies such as Samsung, LG, and POSCO, is now a hub for future high-tech industries like semiconductors, secondary batteries, bio, and smart farms. He appealed for regional innovation centered on universities, proposing that local talents and international students realize their K-Dreams together in North Gyeongsang Province through a virtuous cycle of education, employment or entrepreneurship, and settlement. He demonstrated his commitment as the province's top talent scout.

Governor Lee's special lecture was delivered in the local language of Kyrgyzstan. This was the third time a special lecture was given in the local language of the host country, following the recruitment seminar in Vietnam in November 2023 and the one in Mongolia in April this year.

This ongoing initiative, driven by Governor Lee Cheolwoo's strong belief in respecting the countries of international students and promoting the excellence of the Korean language, which can be written in any script, has consistently garnered high interest and enthusiastic responses from local students.

Subsequently, Lee Sangsoo, head of the University Policy Division of North Gyeongsang Province, introduced the province's specialized support policies for international students, covering everything from entry and initial adaptation to studies, employment after graduation, and settlement.

He especially drew significant interest from students by providing detailed explanations of the "International Student Employment Package 2.0" pilot program launched this year and introducing the excellent educational conditions, including degree programs and scholarship systems, at 39 universities in the province.

On April 2, North Gyeongsang Province became the first local government to announce the "North Gyeongsang Province Immigration Policy Master Plan," which takes responsibility for everything from inflow to social integration, declaring its vision to become Asia's migration hub.

To support the employment and settlement of international students, the province plans to implement the "International Student Employment Package 2.0" program, which consists of the "K-Social Curriculum" and the "Industry Campus Internship Program." Through these initiatives, the province aims to help international students adapt and find employment smoothly in North Gyeongsang Province.

Governor Lee Cheolwoo stated, "At a time when the importance of attracting global talent is greater than ever, North Gyeongsang Province will take the lead in recruiting international students and provide full policy support so they can realize their dreams here."
